« Light » apple cake (no butter)/ Gâteau aux pommes sans beurre

I love apples and I love cakes. So apple cake (or pie) is the kind of combination I really really like 😀

This cake is a bit similar to the « invisible cake« , it is very light and tasty.  Nice for tea time or breakfast.

Ingredients (for a Ø 20cm baking tin)

• 2 organic apples
• 120g plain flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 3 eggs
• 200g plain yogurt or cottage cheese
• 30g sugar (or less if the yogurt is already sweetened)
• 1 tsp liquid vanilla
• Optional: cinnamon powder

Preparation

• Preheat the oven to 200°
• In salad bowl, stir the eggs and sugar
• Add vanilla, flour and baking powder
• Finally add the yogurt
• Peel and finely  slice the apples
• Line a baking tin with greaseproof  paper
• Pour half the batter into a baking tin
• Add the sliced apples and cove with the remaining batter
• Bake for about 20 minutes
• Let it cool before removing from the tin and sprinkle with cinnamon powder

Ingrédients (pour un moule de Ø 20cm)

• 2 pommes bio
• 120g de farine
• 2cc rase de levure
• 3 oeufs
• 200g de fromage blanc ou de yaourt
• 30g de sucre (ou moins si le yaourt est sucré)
• 1cc de vanille liquide
• option: cannelle en poudre

Préparation

• Préchauffer le four à 200°
• Dans un saladier, mélanger les oeufs et le sucre
• Ajouter la vanille, la farine et la levure
• Ajouter finalement le fromage blanc/yaourt
• Peler et couper en lamelles les pommes
• Garnir un moule de papier sulfurisé, déposer la moitié des pommes au fond
• Verser dessus la moitié de la préparation
• Déposer le reste des pommes et couvrir du reste de préparation
• Enfourner pour 20 min
• Laissez tiédir avant de démouler et saupoudrez d’un peu de cannelle
